Summer Skin Protection

The skin is obviously the largest living organ in our bodies, facing all sorts of microbes and hazards in our environment. During the summertime, the sun is the strongest and UV levels can easily threaten and even damage the exposed skin leading to aging (wrinkles,lines…),oil,sweat and other skin imperfections. Therefore,it is crucial that we take care of it during this time of the year to keep it healthy and glowy.

There are countless ways to protect your skin,this list will provide you with the easiest and simplest ones to keep track of this summer.

1.Sunscreen

It is important to wear it thoroughly and frequently from mid-morning (11.am) to late afternoon (4.pm) with a sun protection factor (SPF) rating from 30 to 60 (depending on your skin type).the skin takes time to absorb the sunscreen, so for better results, apply it 30 minutes before going out and re-apply every two hours.

2.Exfoliation

               This helps removing dead skin, preventing clogged pores and absorbing toners and moisturizers.

3.Hydration

To prevent an oily and greasy skin, opt for a water based moisturizer to keep it hydrated as needed.

In order to restore, repair and refresh the surface of the skin, choose a non-alcohol based facial toner to get the vitamins and nutrients of a healthy skin and prevent any blemishes.

5.Mask

During summer months, acne, blackheads and whiteheads can appear on your face. Applying a mask every once in a while(2-3 times a week) purifies, detoxifies and repairs the skin from any previous damages.

6.Summer hat

                You ought to wear a hat with wide edges for full protection, as baseball caps would not cover all angles.

7.Cantaloupe

It is the most nutritious among all varities of melons. It contains vitamins B, E and K and high water content, which softens, hydrates and rejuvenates your skin.

8.Water

In summertime, the body is likely to lose water more often, so make sure you drink at least eight glasses of water per day to prevent internal dehydration which can later show on your skin.
